Thanks! Had never heard of this, and it sounds light and generally kind (though am not sure about the Poirot stuff 😊), which one can never be certain of even in a book marketed as feel-good.

Ha! I wasn’t sure where the fan fiction aspect was going but it wasn’t really anything more than humorous window dressing. I keep trying to watch films labelled as comedy, and end up thinking the description has either been written by a sadist or someone who hasn’t seen the film, so yes it’s nice to find gentle humour and nothing harrowing.

Am enjoying the Lee-Ann podcast, by the way. Am up to the Xmas Fair one.

Oh wow, thanks - I find it weird and mad and brilliant that someone from so far away is enjoying it. I have a few overseas listeners but I honestly wondered if it would have appeal outside the north of England when I began!

It’s definitely a bit foreign to me, compared with how it must be for listeners from the area it’s set in. And I’m sure I miss lots of nuances. But laughed out loud last night at the scenes where the niece took over in the castle. Am very glad to have found them!
