Ah, thanks - on both counts. I actually saw a 1950s-ish hardback copy in a charity shop months ago but it was £20 and the cover was mostly detached. I'm beginning to wonder if I should've bought it anyway! I could probably buy an ebook but that's not the point, it's become a quest now.
Waterstones in Leeds sells old orange (and green crime) Penguins and they had Hurry on Down by John Wain, last time I was in. Another book that’s been on my list for a while. Couldn’t bring myself to pay a fiver for it when it still had a pencilled in charity shop price inside which was considerably less.
